About Workspace

LMCC’s flagship residency program, Workspace, is a nine-month studio-based program that focuses on the creative process and cohort development of emerging artists. At its core, Workspace nurtures experimentation, creative risk taking, collaboration, learning and skill sharing through regular opportunities for dialogue with peers and arts professionals. Participating artists are provided semi-private studio spaces and are expected to engage with the cohort for the full duration of the nine-month program. It currently serves between 10 and 15 individuals or collaborative groups annually.

LMCC’s Artist Residency Programs are also supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

Workspace is also supported, in part, by the Jerome Foundation. Space for the 2019–2020 Workspace program was donated by Cove Property Group and Bentall Kennedy.
