Party as Performance Series

This spring, party with LMCC!

Celebrate with us as we mark LMCC’s 50th anniversary as Manhattan’s Arts Council and our legacy of fostering vibrant creative communities! You're invited to Party as Performance, a series of special gatherings at The Arts Center at Governors Island, taking place in March, May, and June! Each event is hosted by LMCC alumni artists and offers a unique atmosphere, energy, and community, all delving into themes of Practice, Process, and Participation. Tickets are free and open to all.

Don't Miss Party as Process on March 28!

RSVP for Party as Process hosted by YiuYiu 瑶瑶 of Chinatown Records!

On March 28, pulling from the ever-growing archive of her Chinatown Records 華埠錄音 family history project, YiuYiu 瑶瑶 lovingly invites us into her living room dancefloor with a selection of favorite Chinese albums inherited from family and neighbors. Space is limited, so grab your tickets while they’re hot!

Welcoming Session One artists and Curatorial Fellows to the 2024 Arts Center Residency!

Join us in celebrating LMCC's Golden Anniversary as Manhattan's Arts Council! The evening will feature a guest performance by The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company. Stay tuned for ticket sales, program announcements, and further details.

Celebrating 50 Years of LMCC

This year LMCC celebrates its Golden Anniversary with you, our circle of artists, supporters, and friends! Save the date for our 50th anniversary gala at the Conrad on April 15th! And because one party isn’t enough to mark 50 years of building creative communities from March to June, we’re throwing a series of festivities featuring artists and alumni from our community, showcasing what we love to do - celebrating the art of gathering! Stay tuned for details!
