Presented across 22 screens in the Oculus, Mona Chalabi's 100 New Yorkers creates an ode to New York City that visualizes the diversity of people that form the heart and soul of the city we know and love.

Artist Mona Chalabi created 100 New Yorkers to help us see what New York City looks like across different ages, races, genders, abilities, and neighborhoods. In this drawing competition, the NYC community showed us what their slice of New York looks like.

LMCC is excited to announce our 11 Governors Island Residency Initiative Artists for 2020. This initiative endeavors to support artists, writers, cultural workers, creative practitioners living and working across New York City's five boroughs by providing free, temporary space to work on the Island.
