Marquita Flowers is a Bronx born and based curator, arts educator, and creative consultant. Prior to joining LMCC, Marquita has held positions at the Institute of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, Gavin Brown’s enterprise, Martos Gallery and The Museum of Modern Art.
Steeped in the values she learned from her creative community as a young girl; Marquita has a deep passion for increasing access and equity within the arts and has extensive experience developing public programs that are community focused and rooted in history.
Marquita holds a B.A in Sculpture and Community Arts Education from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles and is an M.A Candidate at NYU Tisch School of Arts.
