Elana Rosa Engelman-Lado (they/she) is an arts administrator, graphic designer and thing-maker, born and raised in NYC. Before joining LMCC, Elana worked as the Development & Special Events Manager for More Art, a socially-engaged public art organization, and freelanced as a graphic designer and educator. They previously worked with More Art as Programs & Communications Assistant.
Elana has worked as a teaching artist and educator with organizations including the New York Botanical Garden and More Art. They have also held positions with AAPF, WE ACT, Ekone Ranch, and The Kitchen. In addition to their commitment to non-profit arts, they work as a graphic designer and web developer with a focus on amplifying visibility for early career artists. In their creative practice, they combine collage and bookmaking with research into histories of water, land, sound, and structures of control.
