We are excited to announce this year’s Workspace Artist Residency Program will be taking place on the 8th Floor of 315 Hudson Street thanks to our new partners, Jack Resnick & Sons. This story was picked up by New York Post, Commercial Observer, and The Real Deal yesterday (September 23) — see below for what Jonathan Resnick and Melissa Levin say about our new partnership and the 50,000 square-foot temporary facility that we will be adapting into approximately 32 studios, a meeting room, common area, and dance floor for use through June 2015.
“We are very grateful to Jack Resnick & Sons for donating this space,” Melissa Levin, LMCC’s Director of Cultural Programs, said.“The 8th floor at 315 Hudson, with its prime Hudson Square location and views of the city and Hudson River, provides an inspiring and flexible studio space for visual artists, performing artists, and writers.”
“Bringing LMCC’s Workspace program to 315 Hudson Street is positive for our building, great for the Hudson Square community, and beneficial to the entire Downtown district at large,” said Jonathan Resnick, President of Jack Resnick & Sons. “Our partnership with LMCC reflects our firm’s ongoing commitment to the arts and the City of New York.”
