Sonia Louise Davis (b. 1988) is a New York-based artist born in New York, NY.
Engaging improvisation across installation, performance and writing, Sonia’s work is deeply informed by critical race and feminist theory as well as her training as a jazz vocalist. Her solo exhibitions include Refusal to Coalesce, Rubber Factory, New York NY, 2018; Sound Gestures, International Studio & Curatorial Program Project Space, Brooklyn, NY, 2018; and a commissioned performance shake the stars with your song at The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY, 2016.
