2026_LMCC Summer Programming Deck

This summer, LMCC's multidisciplinary offerings fill Lower Manhattan and Governors Island with art, community, and bold ideas.

We're bringing New Yorkers together in our city's scenic locations for a summer of vibrant, thought-provoking art, performance, and community. These presentations come as open invitations: they are almost entirely free and family friendly. Anchored by the 25th annual River to River Festival, our 2026 programming supports and showcases visionaries across an exciting range of artistic disciplines.

2026 programming highlights include concerts, exhibitions, dance works, residencies, and festive community gatherings, with artists including Bill T. Jones, esperanza spalding, Sweat Variant (Okwui Okpokwasili and Peter Born), Leslie Wayne, Nichole Canuso, Moriah Evans, and more.

Now in its 25th year, The River To River Festival features events from July to September that celebrate a diversity of artistic and creative disciplines. This year features a world premiere from Bill T. Jones, new work from esperanza spalding, a new exhibition by Leslie Wayne, and more!

The Arts Center at Governors Island invites people of all ages to engage directly with artists and the ideas shaping our world – experience exhibitions, performances, open studios, and family-friendly, hands-on art-making workshops with artists from New York and around the world.
