Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener are Brooklyn-based artists who create dance in response to complex and active spatial environments, often merging elements of fantasy, absurdity, and quite contemplation into challenging, multifaceted performance. With a practice that relies heavily on improvisation and a deep commitment to formal dance training and physical rigor, they use dance to imagine a world that supports new movement vocabularies and exposes the unfamiliar.
