SU-CASA is a creative aging residency program supporting artists across all levels of experience in teaching and working with older adults. Beyond connecting with local senior center communities, participating artists continue to grow their own practice through SU-CASA.We're thrilled to share that this year, 30 of LMCC's SU-CASA artists are developing immersive classes in collaboration with older adults at senior centers across Manhattan. They will engage older adults in unique art projects and cultural experiences spanning artistic genres and disciplines from now through June 2022.

A few highlights from this year's programs include:

  • Navarasa: Time and Timelessness of Emotions in Dance with Sloka Iyengar at Washington Lexington Senior Center at Union Settlement
  • Digital Histories – A Storytelling Workshop with Rico Washington at Morningside Retirement & Health Services
  • The Golden Playwright Festival of New Plays by Seniors with Cayenne Douglass at Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center
  • Motion Paper Memories 故事「剪」現 with Joy Lau at Hamilton Madison Knickerbocker NORC
  • The Heirloom Room – A Spanish Poetry and Jewelry Workshop with Rosario Moore at ARC XVI Fort Washington Senior Center
We invite you to explore this year's SU-CASA classes and share them with older adults who might be interested in attending
