Announcing Fundraising Fundamentals 2021!

unnamed

We are elighted to announce this summer’s series of free Fundraising Fundamentals webinars for artists and organizations looking to brush up on their fundraising skills, receive tailored advice for preparing grant applications, and take full advantage of the range of funding opportunities currently available.

Join us on August 5, August 19 and September 2 for workshops covering grant writing basics for artists, selecting the best work samples for your proposal, and project budgeting.

At each session we will be joined by experienced LMCC grantees; Anthony Aiu of TE AO MANA, Claudia Cortínez of LAZO, and Lisa Diomande of Kotchegna Dance Company to hear about how they approach the topic in their own fundraising. LMCC staff will dive into the more technical aspects of grant seeking and help you develop valuable skills to use when applying to our grant programs or other opportunities.

Remember, the deadline to apply for our Manhattan Arts Grants is September 14, 2021, and information sessions for Creative EngagementCreative Learning, and UMEZ Arts Engagement, continue through early September. Attendance at an information session webinar is required for first-time applicants. Unsure which information session to attend? Use our Eligibility Quiz to help determine which program you are eligible for.

Additionally, applications are now open for the third and final cycle of the City Artist Corps program, providing $5,000 grants to over 3,000 individual artists disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The final deadline to apply is August 10th at 10:00AM. Artists interested in applying are encouraged to attend our information session webinar on August 2 at 5:00 PM. One-on-one meetings with LMCC staff for support in completing your City Artist Corps grant application are also available. We are hosting in-person Writing Labs on July 29 & August 4. Register at LMCC.net/RSVP.

We hope to see you at an event this month and please share these opportunities with fellow artists, partners, and collaborators!
