Thank you all who joined us last Saturday, at our September Take Care Series!

We welcomed visitors to participate in the workshop Sun Seekers, conducted by artists Amy Khoshbin, Jennifer Khoshbin and Wildcat Ebony Brown. Participants reconnected with their bodies as we emerge from the pandemic in order to sustain our energy to keep fighting for justice.

Visitors met our new cohort of Artists in Residence who shared their work and engaged with visitors by sharing their practices and works in progress in their Open Studios.

The "Heart on Your Sleeve" project debuted this Saturday, and delivered poetry into visitors' hands as we cautiously navigate communal city life.

The sunny day was joyfully accompanied by the music of multi-instrumentalist Kely Pinheiro who was joined by guitarist Nathan Dies at the Cafe at the Arts Center.

Through performance, workshops, and talks, we explored different ways in anchoring our minds and souls to Earth while learning new ways to connect with the environment to take positive action for Climate Change.

Stay tuned for October's Take Care Series at The Arts Center at Governors Island!
