Firoz Mahmud (Aka `Fee`ROSE`, b. Bangladesh) migrated recently to New York from Tokyo under Asian Cultural Council (ACC ) Fellowship. He works through various mediums including painting, drawing mixed media, installation and image-based works.

Firoz’s work has been exhibited at the Bangkok Art Biennale, Congo Biennale, Ostrale Biennale, Lahore Biennial, Dhaka Art Summit, Setouchi Triennale (BDP), Aichi Triennial, Sharjah Biennale, Cairo Biennale, Echigo-Tsumari Triennial, Immigrant Artist Biennial NYC, Geumgang Nature Art Biennale, Asian Biennale. Firoz also exhibited at the Office of Contemporary Art (OCA), Norway, MAXXI Museum of 21st Century Arts Rome, India, Contemporary Art of Bangladesh, India and Pakistan at Asia House London (Curator: Deeksha Nath), Jamaica Flux 2021, Hunter East Harlem Gallery, Center Pompidou Paris (Screening COAL), Asia Art Initiative, Sharjah Art Foundation, Hiroshima Museum of Contemporary Art, University Art Museum, Metropolitan Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo & Geidai PS1, Mori Art Museum (CG) Tokyo; Metropolitan MostingsHus Copenhagen, National Museum and Bengal Gallery in Dhaka.

He was a postgraduate fellow at Rijksakademie VB Kunsten, Amsterdam, and did an MFA from Tama Art University Tokyo and a BFA from Dhaka University. He is represented by Ota Fine Arts in Tokyo, Singapore, and Shanghai.
