Creatives Rebuild New York, New York Artists in Need Can Apply for $1,000 a Month!

CRNY’s Guaranteed Income for Artists program will support 2,400 artists with regular, no-strings-attached cash payments. Each artist will receive $1,000 per month for 18 consecutive months.

CRNY’s Guaranteed Income for Artists program aims to help artists meet their basic needs outside of traditional or merit-based grantmaking. Read the full New York Times article here and learn more about the eligibility here!


National Endowment for the Arts, Creative Writing Fellowships!

The National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowships program offers $25,000 grants in prose (fiction and creative nonfiction) and poetry to published creative writers that enable recipients to set aside time for writing, research, travel, and general career advancement. Applications are reviewed through an anonymous process in which the criteria for review are the artistic excellence and artistic merit of the submitted writing sample. Through this program, the NEA seeks to sustain and nurture a diverse range of creative writers at various stages of their careers and to continue to expand the portfolio of American art. Franklin Furnace Fund is now open to early-career artists!

Initiated in 1985 with the support of Jerome Foundation, Franklin Furnace annually awards grants to early-career artists selected by peer panel review to enable them to produce major performance art works in New York City.

Fund grants range between $2,000 and $10,000 based on the peer review panel allocation of funding received by Franklin Furnace. Artists from all areas of the world are encouraged to apply; however, artists selected by the panel are expected to present their work in New York City. Full-time students are ineligible. 2022 Media Arts Assistance Fund for Artists!

For individual artists, MAAF provides support for the completion and/or public presentation of new works in all genres of sound and moving image art, including emergent technology. Grant awards assist artists in completing new work, reaching public audiences, and advance artistic exploration and public engagement in the media arts. Women, gender non-conforming people, and people of color are encouraged to apply.

New York State Artists may apply for up to $7,500 to support the completion and/or public presentation of a new or recently completed media artwork. Find out more!
