Celebrate the Lunar New Year with these events throughout February all over Chinatown!

  • This Saturday, (2/4), come see various Lion Dances throughout Chinatown, performed by various troupes from 10am to 7pm!
  • Also this Saturday, MOCA and New York Chinese Cultural Center celebrate the year of the rabbit with two dance and music performances from 4pm to 5:30pm at the Museum of Chinese in America, located at 220 Centre Street.
  • Thursday, (2/9), join MOCA and Tea Drunk at the museum from 6:30pm to 8:30pm for a Lunar New Year celebration full of terrior, cultivar, and vintage-specific teas!
  • On Sunday, (2/12), from 1pm to 3pm experience an exciting Lunar New Year Parade & Festival beginning at Mott & Canal to Chatham Square to East Broadway towards the Manhattan Bridge, completing on Eldridge and Forsyth Streets towards Grand Street next to Sara D. Roosevelt Park.
  • Or if you prefer something more hands-on, attend T!C's Studio at 1 Pike Street from 2pm to 5pm for a Lantern Festival workshop & party full of goodies, tea, karaoke, and more!
