The Take Care Series Returns to The Arts Center at Governors Island on July 16!

Join us every third Saturday at The Arts Center at Governors Island during the months of July-October for the 2022 Take Care Series. Each month, we present free public programs and participatory events that aim for artfulness in the everyday through the exploration of creative practices and community projects that emphasize care for ourselves, our communities, and our planet. 

On July 16 from 1-4pm, celebrate City of Water Day with LMCC and Billion Oyster Project! Follow the flow of an oyster’s life with a variety of carnival games and learn about the importance of oysters in the city’s ecosystem, the life cycle of an oyster, and other marine organisms we find in our neighborhood. Click here to RSVP!

The Take Care Series offers audiences of all ages an opportunity to actively engage in performances, workshops, talks, and other interactive events that embrace ideas of caretaking.
