Originally from Colombia, Lina Alfonso received a B.A. in Visual Arts and a B.S. in Economics from The University of the Andes in Bogotá. In 2013, she moved to New York City with the goal of learning about art nonprofit structures and strategies to connect artists with broader audiences. She received a M.A. in Arts Administration from Columbia University in 2015. After graduating, she went on to work at Collectrium a Christies Company, and Art in General, where she most recently held roles in the development and operations department. Lina is a passionate advocate of emerging artists and experimental practices. She firmly believes that artists hold a relevant role within social and cultural dynamics, and is thrilled to be part of LMCC—an organization that is highly committed to supporting their practice!
Lina coordinates all aspects of LMCC’s Manhattan Arts Grants programs.
