Elana Engelman-Lado, Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications

Elana Rosa Engelman-Lado (they/them) is an arts administrator, artist, and communications professional from New York City. Elana holds a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from Columbia University and an M.A. in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch. They specialize in crafting impactful communications strategies and content that enhance the reach and resonance of cultural and community initiatives. Prior to joining LMCC in 2023, they served as the Programs & Communications Assistant at More Art, a socially engaged public art organization. Since 2022, they have worked with independent artists and collectives as a freelance graphic and web designer. Previously, Elana led youth programs in art and environmental science at the New York Botanical Garden and for Public Water, a collaborative project between More Art and artist Mary Mattingly. Their experience also includes roles at WE ACT for Environmental Justice, the African American Policy Forum (AAPF), and The Kitchen.
