Chris Kam, Director of Marketing & Communications

Chris Kam is a marketing and communications professional with a background in arts management and theater producing. He supports the work of artists through dynamic promotion, message amplification, and storytelling.

Just prior to LMCC, Chris worked with The Public Theater to oversee marketing efforts for the historic multi-year renovation of The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. He had previously served as the Director of Marketing for multiple seasons at The New Group, and on the marketing team at MCC Theater, playing a pivotal role in the theater’s first seasons in their permanent home at the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space.

In arts management and nonprofit finance roles, Chris has worked with several Off-Broadway theaters and arts service organizations including Atlantic Theater Company, SohoRep, ArtTable, and High 5 Tickets to the Arts. At High 5, he served briefly as interim executive director during their merger with ArtsConnection. Additionally, as a theater producer, Chris collaborated on productions with St. Ann’s Warehouse, The Foundry Theatre, and PS 122.

A native New Englander and longtime NYC resident, Chris holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch and an AAS in Marketing & Advertising Communications from the SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology.
