Perennials At first, the days were identical tainted by moroseness. Sadness, gave way to observation. There’s comfort in annual rendez-vous like when cherry blossoms trumpet April. Turning streets into a procession and trees parade their foliage heeding a call for celebration. My garden taught me to embrace unpredictability, and as I catered to its needs as it spoke. The blooming perennials carpeting the Earth, plague be damned! Transience brings relief when you make peace with it. It reminds us to relish our breath Anthony Notaro + Lara Atallah
