Last week, the Governors Island Residency Initiative was featured in amNewYork and Harlem World Magazine.

For the 2020 season, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC), The Trust for Governors Island, and 18 other cultural organizations with space on Governors Island have partnered in this initiative, repositioning indoor cultural programming space into temporary, free work space for artists and cultural practitioners that have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

LMCC’s open call for applications to the NEW Governors Island Residency Initiative is now open!

LMCC's River to River 2020: Four Voices was also mentioned in ARTFIXdaily last week. Jean Shin's Floating MAiZE and The Last Straw and Asiya Wadud's ECHO EXHIBIT were featured as public art programs for New Yorkers to explore this summer and beyond.
