LMCC Extended Life Artist-in-Residence Sarah Michelson receives 2019 MacArthur Genius Grant

Congratulations to LMCC Extended Life artist Sarah Michelson on receiving a MacArthur Genius Grant! Sarah Michelson has expanded the scope of contemporary dance through work that interrogates, extends, and subverts modernist and postmodern dance traditions. LMCC has presented Sarah’s work in the River To River Festival and has supported her through LMCC’s Extended Life residency. Most recently, Sarah performed “june2019/\” as part of the 2019 River To River Festival.

The MacArthur Fellowship is a $625,000 award to extraordinarily talented and creative individuals as an investment in their potential. We are so thrilled that Sarah has received this great honor!
