LMCC alumni Daniel Bejar (Process Space 2014, Workspace 2011-2012, Swing Space 2009) and Jenny Polak (Process Space 2017, Workspace 2005-2006) are featured in Part II of Socrates Sculpture Park's MONUMENTS NOW exhibition, Call and Response.

In the group exhibition, projects take various archetypal monumental forms – such as the arch or the column – and dedicate them to underrepresented peoples and histories. What unites their various approaches is a focus on collective agency and power, departing from the hero narrative of traditional monuments.

LMCC Workspace 2013-2014 alum Jen Silverman's debut novel, We Play Ourselves will be released on February 9, 2021.

We Play Ourselves follows Cass, an emerging queer playwright on the cusp of New York City theatre stardom. But when she finds herself in the middle of a humiliating scandal, she flees to Los Angeles hoping for reinvention, while still haunted by her former life. After a chance meeting with the magnetic filmmaker next door, Cass begins to help with a semidocumentary movie that tracks a pack of teenage girls and their subversive repurposing of Fight Club.
