Check out these upcoming artist opportunities for artists to submit their work, ideas, or apply for grants, as well as fun workshops and events!

  • Think!Chinatown and the Dept. of Cultural Affairs are seeking artists who want to see more public art in Chinatown to submit suggestions for the 70 Mulberry public art project by Feb 10! Artists should be at least 18 years of age and have a website or online digital representation of work. Artists need NOT have prior public art experience. Indicating "70 Mulberry St" in the subject line, submit an artist statement (description of your artistic practice), email address and phone number, material or suggestions to percentinfo@culture.nyc.gov by Feb 10th
  • Learn how to repair textiles using artful darning during the Repair Shop Workshop @ Ace Hotel, 20 W 29th St on Saturday, Feb 11 from 11AM-1PM!
  • Come warm up from the parade at 1 Pike! T!C’s Lantern Festival Party will have classic Lunar New Year goodies, hot tea, New Years karaoke, and a workshop hosted by T!C’s Lantern Artist-in-Residence. Stop by the T!C Studio @ 1 Pike Street on Feb 12 from 2-5PM!
  • MTA Arts & Design seeks images of artists’ previous work to review in consideration for a new site-specific permanent artwork, in conjunction with the Park Avenue Viaduct (PAV) Replacement project at East 116th Street in Manhattan. Application deadline is February 15
  • The Franklin Furnace FUND for Performance Art Grant 2023-24 Deadline is Friday, April 1, 2022. The Franklin Furnace FUND for Pe2023-24 supports early career artists interested in producing major performance art works in New York City. Grants range from $2,000 to $10,000 and will be allocated according to a peer reviewed panel. For detailed guidelines, see here.

  • One week remains to apply for funding through the American Rescue Plan: Humanities Grants for Native Cultural Institutions program! Grants range from $5,000 to $50,000. These are short-term grants to help tribal organizations and their partners recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and provide humanities programming to their communities. Funded projects must be completed by July 31!
