Hannah Myers (she / her) is a nonprofit leader and award-winning filmmaker, bred in the Carolinas and based in Brooklyn, NY.
She has worked closely with arts and culture organizations including solutions journalism magazine Reasons to be Cheerful founded by David Byrne and SPACE on Ryder Farm. Hannah is a 2023 BAVC MediaMaker Fellow and Telluride Film Festival Symposium alum. Her films have received support from The Gotham (IFP), DOC NYC, Southern Documentary Fund, Mountainfilm, Tanbark Pictures, Out on Film, The Kenan Institute, OUT at the Movies, The LearningTimes Foundation, The Nonfiction Hotlist and screened at festivals worldwide. With roots in the theater, Hannah has also worked closely on new play development with Lincoln Center, Atlantic Theater Company, Soho Rep., SITI Company, The Bushwick Starr, Ensemble Studio Theater, 3DaysPrior, and Gibney Dance Center among others.
Hannah holds a BFA in Drama from University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a Kenan Scholar in addition to independent studies with Kristin Linklater and Bob Krakower. She also co-founded a grassroots tie-dye movement with her friends that raised $170,000 for progressive campaigns during the 2020 election cycle (VOGUE, LATimes).
