On the evening of June 8,​​ the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the New York Climate Exchange, and the Climate Museum will present a free concert in honor of World Oceans Day at the Arts Center at Governors Island.

The concert will weave together music, dance, and advocacy—featuring musicians from the Metropolitan Opera and AMOC (American Modern Opera Company) and including works by composer-in-residence at the New York Philharmonic and Pulitzer Prize finalist Leilehua Lanzilotti.

The event will examine our relationship with the natural world, celebrate our interconnectedness with the sea, and offer attendees ways to take civic and collective action toward protecting our oceans.

This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required.
