Art Opportunities

Lower East Side Printshop's Keyholder Residency Program

The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Residencies are free and one year long, starting on April 1st and October 1st each year.

Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; print-making skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended.

NYC Open Culture Program

Starting March 1, arts and cultural institutions can apply for permits for ticketed performances, rehearsals, classes, and workshops outdoors in New York City.

MvVO Art's Ad Art Show in The Oculus

AD ART SHOW is a juried art exhibition in May 2021 featuring artworks by artists from around the world who work—or have roots— in the world of Advertising, Marketing, Commercial Design, Media and Brands. Art will be displayed on the screens inside the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center.

NYC DOT Art's 2021 Arterventions

Arts and community-based organizations, galleries, and businesses can submit proposals to install temporary public art on NYC DOT infrastructure citywide. Eligible art site types include sidewalks, fences, triangles, medians, bridges, step streets, public plazas, and pedestrianized spaces.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Funding

Cultural Solidarity Fund Emergency Relief Microgrants

Open to individual artists and cultural workers, including employees who are not directly engaged in art or performance. The CSF will open with $100,000, initially distributing 200 $500 relief micro-grants to NYC artists and cultural workers. BIPOC, immigrant, undocumented, and/or disabled/deaf applicants will be prioritized.

National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) COVID Relief Grants

Open to Latinx artists, cultural workers, and organizations facing financial emergencies due to COVID. Applications open for the Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico on March 3, 2021.
