Creative Climate Action: Harnessing the Power of the Arts | Webinar
While climate impacts and solutions are too often communicated in technical language, the arts—music, dance, film, painting, and more—have the unique ability to translate abstract concepts into connection, awareness, and action.
This panel, co-hosted by the New York Climate Exchange and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, brings together visionary voices from across disciplines to explore how art and climate science can join forces to deepen engagement and spur action. We’ll hear from artists, communicators, and scientists about what’s working, where the gaps remain, and what new opportunities lie ahead for cross-sector collaboration. Panelists include Moe Yousuf, LMCC President & CEO; artist Amanda Lovelee; Anais Reyes, Deputy Director of the Climate Museum; and Carine Gilbert, founder of Grounded In Motion. Presented in partnership with the New York Climate Exchange, a nonprofit that unlocks climate solutions by activating a unique partner model and climate campus—coming to Governors Island in 2029.
