Zara Cimone is a Brooklyn based interdisciplinary artist raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She has lived in New York City for three years and has since participated in nearly 50 art events including competitive live painting battles, group gallery shows, featured portraiture opportunities, and curatorial experiences. Zara’s proudest accomplishments thus far are creating and executing three annual, student-led Black History Month art showcases at her school. Each year, Zara and her team organized electrifying performances, displayed multi-dimensional artwork, and fashioning a safe space for Black student voices to be heard in creative and innovative ways.
Zara is currently a student leader and ambassador of her college’s unique, interdisciplinary program where she studies Studio Art: Mixed Media and Integrative Nutrition Psychology. She looks forward to developing her interdisciplinary artistry, producing additional curatorial experiences, and expanding her body of work through travel and experimentation.
