A business major and fervent arts lover born in Taiwan, Emerson Chang moved to New York in pursuit of higher education in Arts Administration at Columbia University in 2017. Prior to her time in New York, Emerson coordinated and managed communications for Migration Music Festival, an international arts festival in Taiwan. She is passionate about thought-provoking arts projects and dedicated to connecting the community with impactful artists and projects.

Emerson now works with the Artist Services team at LMCC, administering grant cycles for Manhattan’s artists and arts organizations. She also shepherds SU-CASA, a residency program matching teaching artists in Manhattan’s senior centers in partnership with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the City Council. Emerson specializes in facilitating artists in delivering learning projects in community settings, including and beyond creative aging programs.

Emerson facilitates the planning and administration of SU-CASA program and provides support for LMCC’s Manhattan Arts Grants program.
