Ashlee Baldwin is the Public Engagement Manager at LMCC, where she heads up the visitor experience at The Arts Center at Governors Island and public engagement initiatives for Cultural Programs at LMCC.
Before moving to New York City and joining LMCC, Ashlee shaped the visitor experience for Museums and Galleries at Australia’s leading University, the University of Melbourne. She was a founding member of Buxton Contemporary, Melbourne’s newest Contemporary Art Museum, and as Programs & Visitor Services Coordinator, she worked to establish a public engagement strategy and deliver public programs, tours and manage ongoing visitor engagement for the museum.
Ashlee is a graduate of the University of Melbourne and holds a Graduate Certificate in Art History and a Master of Arts and Cultural Management. She has over eight years experience working in contemporary arts and cultural organizations across public, private and non-profit contexts as well as in studio management and commercial galleries.
Ashlee is extremely passionate about building and facilitating transformative experiences with art for the public and connecting artists with diverse audiences. Ashlee is proud to join LMCC in championing individual artists’ and offering rich artistic experiences for the Lower Manhattan community and beyond.
