Tiffany Mills is a choreographer and artistic director of the New York City-based Tiffany Mills Company. Her work focuses on human relationships and is grounded in partnering. Her exploration is fueled by collaboration across mediums. Mills moved to New York City in 1995 and formed the Company in 2000. Mills has been presented at: PICA’s TBA Festival (OR), Wexner Center (OH), CDT/NPN (OH), Dance Place (DC), Jacob’s Pillow (MA), Guggenheim Works & Process, Danspace Project’s City/Dans, Duke on 42 Street, Symphony Space, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Dancing in the Streets, Joyce SoHo, DTW, PS 122, BAX, Movement Research, TPAC, HERE, and in Mexico and Canada. Mills’ guest teaching: Trisha Brown, DNA, ACDFA, and universities nationally. During their Swing Space residency, the Tiffany Mills Company will develop Berries and Bulls is an exposé on the inherent tangles in long-term relationships. Though movement and text, four people vibrating on different frequencies try to connect. They misread signals; push touching to extremes; and taunt each other into playing physically risky games.
