Nicolas Touron (b. 1970) is a French artist currently based out of Brooklyn, NY.  His multimedia installations are based on his lifelong desire to be a storyteller.  His recent solo exhibitions include Play Ground, Stux Gallery, New York, NY (2013); What’s Happening, Virgil De Voldere Gallery, New York, NY (2012); and The Kingdom, Virgil De Voldere Gallery, New York, NY (2010).  Group exhibitions include Spring Break Art Show, New York, NY (2012); and Personal Effect, Padiglione dell’Esprit Nouveau, Bologna, Italy (2012).  Touron has been awarded residencies with the Socrate Sculpture Park (2011), Lower East Side Printshop (2009), and the Fullbright Fellowship Comission (2001).  Publications include The Village Voice (2010), Flash Art (2007), and Time (2004).  Touron received his B.F.A. from the Gerrit Rietvelt Academie Amsterdam and his M.F.A. from The School Of Visual Art.  During his residency on Governors Island, Touron will focus on creating an installation that will have the ability to create stories.
