Michael Bühler-Rose (b.1980) is New York-based artist born in New Brunswick, NY. His work stems from over 20 years of training in Vedic rituals and their image modalities as a practicing brahmina priest and its parallel as an artist.

His solo exhibitions include Sanctum Sanctorum, Carroll and Sons, Boston, MA (2014); Spirit & Matter, Scaramouche Gallery, New York, NY (2014); and I’ll Worship You, You’ll Worship Me, Urban Video Project, Everson Museum, Syracuse, NY (2014). His group shows include The Temptation of AA Bronson, Witte de With, Rotterdam, The Netherlands (2013); and Recent Acquisitions Part I, Contemporary Photography, Arthur M. Sackler Museum, Harvard University Museum, Cambridge, MA (2012).

His awards and residencies include Light Work Artist-In-Residency, Syracuse, NY (2012); Shandaken Project, Shandaken, NY (2012); and NADA/Grolsch Swing Art Award, NY/Miami (2010). He received his M.F.A. from University of Florida and his B.F.A. from School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University.
