Lily Whitsitt is a New York-based theater and film artist and is the founding artistic director of Door 10. With a core team of collaborators, Whitsitt uses heightened sound design, music, and live performance to create innovative theatrical worlds.

Whitsitt was the Co-Producer of Burn Country, Tribeca Film Festival (2016). Her awards and residencies include Baryshnikov Arts Center Residency, New York City, NY (2016); Princess Grace Award (2009) and Works-in-progress Residency Award (2015); Time Warner Foundation/Women’s Project Lab, New York City, NY (2014-2016); Drama League Directing Fellow and Artist in Residence, New York City, NY (2011, 2015); and she is a New Georges Affiliated Artist. She received her B.A. from Wesleyan University and her M.F.A. from California Institute of Art.
