LaMicro Theater, Inc., founded in 2003, is a New York-based organization with the mission to produce high-quality Spanish, Latin American and U.S Latino theatre in English and Bilingual productions. LaMicro is committed to producing under-produced playwrights and to expose their audiences to work that will generate dialogue concerning the realities faced by our diverse communities. LaMicro Theater has produced emerging contemporary Latino playwrights from Latin American, Spain and the U.S.

Productions include City Non Specific, New York City International Fringe Festival (2012) and The Alchemical Theater Lab (2014); Nocturnal Creatures by Juan Mayorga, Director’s Studio, Instituto Cervantes (2012) and Teatro Circulo (2013); Escena Sur: Contemporary Chilean Plays, a festival of public staged readings at The Bridge (2014); Escena Sur: Plays and Memory, in partnership with the Historical Memory Project, Instituto Cervantes and John Jay College (2015); and Escena Sur: Contemporary Chilean Plays II in collaboration with Interdram, Bridge Theatre, The Shetler Studios (2016). LaMicro also offers an educational program including theater workshops to children and professional artists.
