Jonathan Cohrs (b. 1977) is a visual artist and audio engineer based in New York City. His work often uses public engagement and site-specific explorations to address global issues. His exhibitions include Poetic Science, Museum of Contemporary Art Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico (2014); Surface Tension, Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, New York, NY (2012); and AUDiNT: The Dead Record Office, Art In General, New York, NY (2011). Cohrs was an artist-in-residence at the National Park Service, San Juan, Puerto Rico (2013). He was a recipient of the NYSCA Individual Artists Grant, New York, NY (2012) and the Experimental Television Center Finishing Funds, New York, NY (2011). His commissions include Art In General, New York, NY (2011) and the Winter Olympics, Vancouver, Canada (2010). Cohrs received a B.A. from Colorado College (2000) and an M.F.A. from the Parsons School for Design (2009).
