Jenifer Wightman is a Brooklyn-based artist. Wightman’s work employs scientific tropes to incite curiosity about ecological phenomena. Exhibitions include View, NYC Parks Commission, Randall’s Island, New York, NY (2013); Gowanus Canal (in collaboration with Sarah Christman) as part of the New York Film Festival’s “Views from the Avant Garde” at Lincoln Center, New York, NY (2013); and group exhibition, Bronx Calling: The Second AIM Biennial at the Bronx Museum, New York, NY (2013).

Wightman’s residencies and awards include Center for Book Arts, New York, NY (2013); Swing Space, Lower Manhattan Cu, New York, NY (2012); and Bronx AIM Program, New York, NY (2012). Wightman received her M.S. in Environmental Toxicology/Cancer Cell Biology from Cornell University and her B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University.
