Harlem Dance Club (HDC) is a New York-based organization that aims to serve the Harlem community by offering workshops and performance opportunities. HDC offers programming and classes unique in their low cost and accessibility. At HDC, your style is challenged and complemented as you dance along side an eclectic group of diverse ages and training backgrounds. The HDC Performance Company has performed at Live Dance Live at La Tea Teatro (2015); The Get Down, Cielo (2015); CHERYL, The Bellhouse (2015); ONTHEFLOOR, The Ace Hotel (2015). Their debut work Etoiles was a 2013 audience selection winner at the DANCENOW NYC Festival, for which HDC was awarded a guest artist residency at DANCENOW Silo on Kirkland Farms in Pennsylvania. Commissions include Public Theater’s Public Works Production of Twelfth Night. They have offered workshops at The Ali Forney Center, PS 36, and The Children’s Aid Society. HDC has received support from the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation to participate in Summer on the Hudson: Harlem Dance 2015.
