Francine Perlman is a New York-based artist. Her art is centered on ideas of “house,” “room,” “vessels,” and “space” in 2-D and 3-D.
Perlman’s solo exhibitions include Where Lines Can Go, Ceres Gallery, NYC (2012); Abstract Works on Paper, The Society for the Advancement of Judaism, NYC (2007); and Shelter: Installations by Francine Perlman, Westchester Community College, NY (2005). Group exhibitions include Meet My Uterus, Ceres Gallery, NYC (2013); Alternet, Traveling Collaboration, NY (2013), and New York Society of Women Artists, The Hammond Museum, NY (2011).
Perlman’s publications include General Anzeiger, Bonn (2004); and Bonn Biennale Catalog (2004). Past residencies include the American Association of University Women, Career Development Grant (2000); and a residency at the Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, NY (1998). Perlman received her M.F.A. from City College.
