Esteban Jefferson (b. 1989) is a New York-based artist born in Manhattan. His work examines American sociopolitical issues of class and race through drawings, paintings, prints, and books. His publications include Thoughts on the Residency at McDonald’s, Studio Practice and Public Space, Endless Editions, (2014); his self-published One Week Book, 2014 and One Week Book, 2015, self-published (2014, 2015, respectively). His exhibitions include SIP Summer Fellowship Show, Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York, NY (2016). His awards and residencies include SIP fellowship, Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, New York, NY (2105) and The Residency at McDonald’s, New York, NY (2014). Jefferson holds a B.A from Columbia University.
