Elizabeth Rossi and Sol Aramendi collaborate to celebrate the stories of the Latino community through the lens of a camera. Sol Aramendi, through Project Luz, seeks to use photography as a tool to give voice to immigrant communities. Rossi is an artist, community based educator, and independent gallery curator for nine-years. By choosing some of the most poignant characters in Latino literature – those that give voice and sight to silent spaces of the immigration experience, they allow people to use these stories to express their own reality, utilizing photography as a tool of empowerment. By doing this, they build deeper connections for self-expression.
