Decoda is a New York-based chamber collective dedicated to bringing meaningful musical experiences to all audiences. As the first Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall, Decoda explores creativity, community, and identity through live performances and thoughtful methods of engagement, including interactive performances, creative songwriting workshops, and performances in non-traditional venues for communities with limited access to music.

Their works include performances and community projects at the Southbank Centre and the Barbican, London, UK; Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany; Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Festival, UAE; Bay Chamber Concerts, Maine; National Center for the Performing Arts, Mumbai; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Since 2011, Decoda participated in Music for Transformation, a justice initiative, and Carnegie Hall’s Musical Connections Program. They also undertook creative projects at Sing Sing Correctional Facility, Beth Abraham Hospital, Clinton High School and Valley Lodge Shelter. Decoda was invited by President Obama’s administration to perform on two occasions at the White House at events dedicated to the arts and criminal justice reform.
