Jazz WaHi presents The 3rd Annual Washington Heights Jazz Festival: a neighborhood-based, affordable, family-friendly event, bringing jazz to our Washington Heights neighborhood. The Festival is a four-day event featuring fourteen different bands: sixty musicians, many from right here in the neighborhood, connecting with a local audience in local venues. Jazz Power Initiative

Intergenerational Jazz Jam Sessions 2020

National Jazz Museum in Harlem, 58 West 129th Street, New York, NY 10027

Jazz Power Initiative and National Jazz Museum in Harlem presents Intergenerational Jazz Jam featuring Charenee Wade. Co-hosted by Eli Yamin and special guest: Charenee Wade, with Jennifer Vincent, bass, Dwayne “Cook” Broadnax, drums and Eli Yamin, piano.

Charenee Wade is an international and national performer. She is well studied in jazz and classical music. She has performed at the Jazz Gallery, Zinc Bar, Lincoln Center’s Dizzy Coca-Cola’s, Smalls in New York City. We are fortunate to have her as a special guest artist.

Calling all singers, instrumentalists, dancers and spoken word artists of all ages.

Suggested donation $10 general public, $5 artists/seniors/audience under 18

The East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) brings together the country’s finest string players from leading string quartets and major orchestras, and its “tonal radiance” is a wonder to behold. (New York Times) The “enterprising” ensemble (New Yorker) will perform Beethoven’s searing “Serioso” Quartet, arranged for string orchestra, as well as romantic music by Clara Schumann, arranged by ECCO violinist, Michi Wiancko.
