Nicole Awai, Arts Center Residency 2019


Nicole Awai is a Brooklyn-based artist from Trinidad. She makes nebulous 3-D resin paintings, mixed media sculptures, installations and drawings that are somewhat conceptual abstractions, inescapable narratives embedded in all materiality posited historically, culturally and genetically, that creates a more acute awareness of HERE – our present/ presence.
