Naomi Safran-Hon (b. 1984) is a Brooklyn based artist born in Oxford, England, and raised in Haifa, Israel.
Mixing materials that are antithetic structurally, such as lace and cement, Naomi creates paintings that reflect on the way in which political realities invade our homes and everyday life. Her exhibitions include A Room with No Exit, Slag Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, 2018; Fragments of Place, Marfa Contemporary, Marfa, TX, 2017 and House without Home, Silber Art Gallery, Goucher College, Baltimore, Maryland, 2016.
Naomi is a recipient of Art OMI Residency, International Arts Center, Ghent, NY, 2016; Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, ME 2012 and Blanksteen Curatorial Fellowship at Yale University, New Haven, CT, 2010.
