Lucy Sexton is a New York-based artist born in Brooklyn, NY. She performed with Anne Iobst in the seminal feminist performance duo DANCENOISE: King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, PS 122, La MaMa, The Kitchen, Lincoln Center, Whitney Museum, Danspace Project (1983-2017); 1989 NY Dance and Performance Bessie Award (1989); performs solo as The Factress in nightclubs and theaters in NYC. Directed Spalding Gray; Stories Left to Tell (2008); The Talking Show, the Magical Ridiculous Journey of Alien Comic (2010); and she also produced The Legend of Leigh Bowery for BBC (2004); and TURNING with Charles Atlas and Ahnoni (2012). Lucy is a recipient of NYFA Fellowships, New York, NY (1987, 1992); and NEA and NYSCA grants (1989, 1992). She received a BFA in Dance from Ohio University, Athens, OH.
