Elise Rasmussen (b. 1977) is a Brooklyn-based artist born in Edmonton, Canada. Rasmussen is a research-based artist working with photography, video and performance.

Rasmussen is a recipient of the Barbara Spohr Memorial Award, Banff Centre, Banff, Canada (2017); the Jerome Foundation Travel Grant (2016); Canada Council for the Arts International Residency Grant (2016). Her residencies include The Shandaken Project Residency, Storm King, NY,(2017); Nirox Foundation, Cradle of Humankind, South Africa, (2016); Irish Museum of Modern Art, (2013); and SOMA Summer Program, Mexico City, Mexico, (2013). Rasmussen holds a MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BFA from Ryerson University.
