Asif Mian is a Brooklyn-based artist born in Jersey City, NJ. He works at intersection of sculpture, video, and performance, Mian’s practice dissects the roles that ritual, masculinity, power, and violence have in society. Mian has exhibited his work internationally, including a solo exhibit at False Flag, Long Island City, NY (2017), and group exhibitions at QI 2018: Volumes, Queens Museum Biennial, Close Quarters at Governors Island organized by New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), New York, NY (2018); Giving Up the Ghost, Rush Arts, Philadelphia, PA (2018).
