This year’s Downtown Dinner was truly a celebration of the arts.
More than 650 of the city’s corporate, civic and cultural leaders joined Sopranos stars Edie Falco and Michael Imperioli, actor Kathleen Turner, Whitney curator David Kiehl and a range of talented, emerging artists to fête the evening’s illustrious honorees: Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, First Deputy Mayor Patricia E. Harris, playwright Edward Albee and artist Kiki Smith.
LMCC succeeded in raising $900,000 for our renowned arts programs thanks to the generosity of our many supporters. Grolsch and Tito’s Handmade Vodka were the evening’s in-kind sponsors.
We would also like to thank more than 250 artists who created original works of art for the Secret Sale; Katie Holten, McKendree Key, and Mary Mattingly, whose ambitious art installations transformed the raw space of 7WTC; and the Guerilla Dance Team, violinist Lorenzo Laroc, performance art troupe Tryst, and the Vintage DJ who delighted guests with wonderful performances.
Thank you for helping make “art happen here.”

Lower Manhattan Cultural Council would like to thank all of those who contributed to
